Call for symposia

Call to submit a topical symposium proposal

The Leuven Brain Institute and the UCLouvain Institute of Neuroscience are organising a joint two-day meeting on Tuesday 09/09/2025 in Leuven and Wednesday 10/09/2025 in Brussels-Woluwe.

The meeting will include up to 6 symposia organised by members of the two institutes.

Proposals can be submitted by researchers of both institutes. The deadline to submit a proposal is 15/05/2025.
Proposals must be submitted using the LBIoNS platform.

Proposals should include the following information

• Symposium title
• Abstract (maximum 250 words)
• Chairs (Name and affiliations)
• Speakers (Name and affiliations)
• Speaker presentation titles

Guidelines

• Each symposium will last 1h30.
• Each symposium will be co-chaired by two PIs, one from each institute.
• Speakers (which can include the session chairs) will be members of LBI or IoNS.
• Proposals including speakers from the two institutes are encouraged.
• Proposals including an early-career researcher are encouraged.
• Session chairs are free to design their own session format (e.g., a session with 3-4 speakers providing complementary talks on a given research topic, a blitz session with a rapid succession of short communications, a debate session, …).
  The session chairs must ensure that there will be enough time for discussions with the audience.
